Day One

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

1. My Y the Last Man dreamcast that I still pat myself on the back over. Clearly I need to become a casting director because I feel like my choices are really on point!

2. They Should Base A Sitcom On Us, a Dexter/Sherlock BBC crossover. It's probably the best thing I've ever written. I wrote it in a rush late at night, having just come off a huuuuuge Dexter-rewatch-binge and I was just so in the Dexter zone. I'm really proud of this fic! If only anything else I wrote was ever this good, lol.

3. My epic Top 50 X-Files episodes list. I still love this list and go back and gaze upon it every now and again and agree with myself over my choices.

31. Why do you blog?

(Finally, I've reached the end!)

I blog for a few reasons.

1. To flail and discuss and grumble and gush about tv/movies/comics/whatever fandom thing. I have no other outlets for fandomy stuff besides DW, except tumblr, but the level of interaction on tumblr isn't the same. Also I'm about 800000% less afraid of posting a long, rambly rant on my journal because I know if anyone who reads it disagrees, they'll just politely tell me their thoughts rather than hurl insults at me.

2. To exercise my more narcissistic impulses. Photos of my own face, arts and crafts projects (yay showing off lol), things going on in my life. And even if nobody cares (which I am fine with), I always have this space to talk it out. I can't tell you how many times I have turned to my journal mad, upset, sad, depressed, whatever, and by the time I finish writing my 2472048 word long entry, I felt better.

3. To stay involved in others' lives and community activities. I've found most of my friends through journaling, and most of my internet social things are from here too. I'm kind of a loner irl but I get plenty of social interaction through journaling and it makes me a more rounded person, I think!

I think those are fairly standard reasons for blogging, but there you go. :3

gosh i love arrows.

also watching tv, making icons, writing fic, reading comics, and generally fanning it up.
