I know, right? UGH. I was kinda planning on watching DOFP just for the inevitable amount of laughs it would provide, but I think I'll skip it now. (Maybe find it for free somewhere or smth.)

TBH my general policy is that if people are going to hide behind "innocent until proven guilty" to excuse alleged rapists, I'm going to apply the same exact policy just as fervently to the alleged victims.

I skimmed the comments on another article and apparently he previously had a lawsuit filed against him for having minors strip for a scene he was shooting (http://firsttoknow.com/xmen-bryan-singer-sexual-abuse-lawsuit/) or something like that, too.

Oh yeah, same. That's why I warned off the comments on that article.. they are chock full of victim blaming and rape apologists. (DON'T YOU KNOW THAT 17 YEAR OLDS TOTALLY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING SO IT'S NOT RAPE?) This story has the ring of truth though, so I mean, I'm not grabbing my pitchfork and calling for Bryan Singer's head since he should have the right to defend himself if he is truly innocent.. but I'm not on his side in this.

Ughhhh that's disgusting. The more I hear about Bryan Singer, the more I completely believe this story is true. I was reading another article which said that Bryan Singer is one of those people who has "rumors" about him in Hollywood regarding his penchant for young boys. I just have to keep the belief in my heart that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan knew nothing about this at all because there's no way they'd work with a known sexual abuser, right?? Sigh

I figured. People are gross. Yeah IDK. I doubt we'll get a conviction or anything, we've seen this sort of thing play out and then get hushed up before. My confidence in there being any sort of truth/justice coming out of this sort of thing's really low at this point. (Hell, look at the Franco thing from the other week when he was trying to hook up with a 17 year old, had the evidence *right there*, and was invited to talk shows to laugh about it.)

Yeah, I saw that too. Blech. I have to hope they didn't know?? iDEK. I wondered the same thing about Stewart and Fassbender when DOFP details first started coming out -- Stewart's being so vocally against domestic violence and Fassbender being somebody accused of beating his ex-girlfriend. To be honest it may just not be possible to get away from these people in the industry, it just seems to fester there.
