ironically loving a tv show 101
Aug. 18th, 2014 06:41 pmSo there is this show called The Last Ship and it's kind of terrible but kind of amazing at the same time. The plots are - IMO - pretty predictable, and everything is so ham-fisted and anvilicious, but my god, it's so entertaining somehow. Probably BECAUSE of those things. It's like watching a SyFy original movie every week.
No, you know what it is? It's like season 1 SG-1 with a WAYYYYY bigger budget and taking themselves even more seriously.
One of the moments early on I knew the show would be - air quotes - great was in the first or second episodes when the ship - a goddamn US Navy ship - has only one fuse left for an incredibly important part of their engine. It was so dramatic - sparks flying! everyone's shouting! and someone goes THERE'S ONLY ONE FUSE LEFT!!!!!! I'm dying you guys. Dying.
Is this a good time to mention this show comes from miCHAEL BAY?!

( Rambling, gifs, spoilers for the show, also I'm kind of mean but in a loving way, so warning for that ahahaha )
This show was ALREADY RENEWED FOR A SECOND SEASON GUYS. LOL.

BRING IT ON
