31 days of blogging - day 15
Oct. 28th, 2013 02:11 pm15. Timeline of your day
This is a bit tricky just cause I only have a very loose "timeline" of my day, since I do all freelance work and more often than not that results in me waking up whenever, working whenever, eating whenever, and sleeping whenever. But generally:
- wake up between 11am and 1pm
- get a couple hours of work in (<-- this is the stage I am in right now :D)
- eat breakfast/lunch
- do more work, around 5-7 hours worth
- eat dinner, do my tv watching
- do more work if necessary, or play a video game, or read comic books, or make icons, or whatever
- often I do internetty things throughout the day as I work, too, depending what job I'm working on and how difficult that job is being at any given moment
- also I am in team enabler chat basically all day XD also wasting time there
- sleep sometime between 3am and 5am
I need to get back into exercizing regularly :[

Date: 2013-10-31 04:33 am (UTC)Some major job opportunities there are are phone jobs from home (I'm not interested, I worked in a call center for years so I'm pretty over that, BUT the upshot is many of these companies will actually hire you as a real employee so there are possible health benefits there) and article writing (doesn't pay enough for me at this point and seems like kind of a slogfest but I have heard that if you stick it out eventually you will start making good money). If you have a particular skill you can always try to market yourself that way, I don't really have anything I'm good at so I just try to find work with companies. But my boyfriend knows SEO stuff so he does a lot with that specifically on a client-to-client basis.
The biggest tip I have is to diversify. I work two jobs, my boyfriend works two jobs, and that's important because with this sort of work one day you will wake up and there is an email telling you "hi we don't need you anymore you're fired bye", lol. But making your own schedule can be so nice! And being your own boss! It's great.
Sorry this was kind of rambly! I hope it helped though and if you ever want more advice or have questions I am right here. :D But that forum is really where I'd go first. I've used that as a resource for years!
