31 days of blogging - day 18
Nov. 1st, 2013 04:44 pm18. The meaning behind your blog name
My username is the name of a character from the manga and movie Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki. I read the manga when I was a kid and I've loved her ever since. :D She's my "first", in a way. The first lady character that epitomized everything I wished I could be.
She's an animal lover:

She's adventurous:

She's a scientist:

She's a fighter:

BASICALLY SHE'S AWESOME

"Nausicaa" was already taken though so I took Naushika instead, which is like the romaji of how Nausicaa is pronounced or whatever. IDK the Japanese name is Kaze no Tani no Naushika, and when the characters in the film say her name it sounds more like Naushika than Nausicaa so I kinda liked it better anyway. :D Plus it more clearly delineated my inspiration for the name as the manga/anime character rather than the mythological figure.
