naushikaThe leaves are changing colors (well in some climates anyway), the air is developing a bite, it's getting darker earlier.. it is November. It is deep into the new fall television season. What have we learned?
What I learned is that I got THREE new shows I love. Three! I never walk away from premiere season with three shows!
Agents of SHIELD may not have started out strong but it's been getting better every episode. Episode 1x06 was especially a turning point because that's when the TEAM FEELS punched me in the face. I love all the relationships.
Coulson & May, total SHIELD parents, having serious discussions and feeling like they need to shoulder all the burdens
FitzSimmons because duh! Best friends and heterosexual life partners if you ask me
Simmons & Skye, they have gotten into bad girl shenanigans together! and hugged! and I want them to be best girl friends forever! LOOK AT THIS HUG!

Ward & Skye, ahhhh I LOVE MENTOR/MENTEE RELATIONSHIPS
Ward & all the "kids" (Skye, FitzSimmons) HE IS THEIR PROTECTIVE OLDER BROTHER. And he totally acts that way cause of how he failed to be a proper protective older brother (based on what we've seen in the flashbacks?) THIS IS MY HEADCANON YOU CAN'T TAKE IT FROM ME *SNARL*
AHHHHH I LOVE THEM ALLLLLL. Yes, everyone started out kinda stereotypically at first but I think that's pretty much how all pilots go at first. Ward especially has grown on me so much - he's not the typical mangsty bro-dude. He cares SO MUCH about everyone and isn't afraid to show it wow emOTIONS! I LIKE WHEN CHARACTERS HAVE THEM! :D
So there's only been two episodes of this so far but I LOVE it already.
SCIFI! ROBOTS! ODD COUPLE COP PARTNERSHIP! ATTRACTIVE DUDES! LILI TAYLOR WHO IS TOTAL AWESOMESAUCE! Everything's so PRETTY and there's FUTURE ETHICS and EMOTIONAL ROBOTS and aughhhhhh it's all the things I love!
Almost Human has the Fringe vibe all over it which makes complete sense considering the creator is JH Wyman (Fringe was basically his show after the first season, when JJ Abrams all but abandoned it b/c that's how JJ rolls lbr. JJ is an executive producer on this show but we'll see how long that lasts /snerk). Especially with the wacky scientist guy in his basement listening to classic rock. Hah. Love it. :D
I'm really excited to see where they go plot-wise on the show. It is my hope they are as fearless here as they were with Fringe.
ALSO I COULD STARE AT DORIAN'S FACE ALL DAY
This is another one that is ALL ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIPS to me.
Abbie & Ichabod, OH MY GOD SO WONDERFUL. Maaaaad chemistry! Not even just ship wise (and yeah I do ship it lol of course) but they are SO SO GREAT together. It was like a punch in the face from episode 1. I adore this duo.
WE EVEN GOT TEARS AND A HUG ALREADY
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
But I also LOVE the supporting characters! Jenny! Captain Irving! SO GREAT. Supernatural stuff is better when there's a team and with Abbie, Ichabod, Jenny, and Irving, it's a great mishmash of personalities so there's so much great interactions to be had. I'm so so SO enjoying it. And nobody is a very typical character so everything feels fresh and exciting to me.
And of course SISTERRRRRSSSSSSS! Abbie and Jenny! There is really not enough great sister stuff out there. Plenty of brother stuff (hello SPN) but very little sister stuff.
Yeah the plot is cheesy and kind of confusing at times but I don't care????? lol. The plot could be anything, as long as it's with these characters. SO WONDERFUL! And they've struck such a great balance to the fish out of water stuff with Ichabod. Just a moment or two per episode for a good laugh. Also it's great when he rages about some modern development that his old timey sensibilities are against (eg paying for water). ahhhh I LOVE IT.
