Sooo I finally finished the entire Mass Effect series this past weekend

and I just



I'm sort of not really sorry I can'T STOP TALKING ABOUT THESE GAMES but they are really truly amazing omg. I never thought anything could usurp Half-Life 2 in "most awesome story and best gameplay ever" award for me but the ME series totally has.

I can't wait to do another playthrough. And there's some DLCs I don't have that I'm gonna get so woo more gameplay. :D

I've also dived head first into the fic of Mass Effect and DAMN. SO MANY GOOD WRITERS HIDING AWAY IN THIS LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET. I've been reading the Mass Effect kink meme and I admit that unshamefully because it's actually not terribly kinky. And quite a lot of the fics just do fade-to-black sex or it's not really that graphic anyway. And every other prompt is answered by an author who is like "oops this fic got away from me so it's long and plotty" ahahaha. This is the best kink meme everrrrrr. And I'm slowly making my way through AO3 as well. <3<3

I nominated some Mass Effect pairings for scifi_fic_swap (noms for this exchange are open another 9 days so check it out!) and other people nominated some too so that makes me excited for possible ME matchups for meeeee :D :D.

ugh caves are the worst. The worst. But you should play this, the story is just super cool and your character alters the shape of things based on her actions in so many interesting ways, plus it has such interesting things to say about technology and life. It is epic sci fi at it's best.

Ahaha you don't win points no, not in this game. Hilariously enough I couldn't give it away when I tried, but whenever I was just having a friendly conversation, boy did the suggestion of naked wrestling drop in from out of the blue! I couldn't even seduce the help so they'd feed my fish!

...well. The regular console does vibrate when you blow shit up? *cheeky*

But seriously, best. game. ever. And it's pretty cinematic too. And your character is such a badass!

Oh, and Seth Green voices the pilot, and he gets to be all kinds of smartass and funny. If that's a thing that matters. Also lots of artificial intelligence stuff :D

Oh my god mass effect needs more games pleaseeeee. The universe and the way you shape it is just so fucking cool. So many people had problems with the ending of ME3 but I think it was great. Me and my housemate argued over which of the three was the most moral choice for like a week after we finished it. NO game even comes close to that!!

haha right?? I didn't really have any problems with the ending and me and Chris have been talking about the different options since I finished the game too! I like that there's ambiguity in all of the choices and there is no "perfect" ending. It would have felt trite if there was some fairytale perfect ending at the end of all that!

OOOOH SOMEBODY'S GOT IT BAD :D

I was actually staring longingly at my games earlier today, really hankering for a playthrough. But I'm forcing myself to stick with Skyrim until I've completed it, bah. Your character design is very cool, her personality really stands out. You're playing on the computer? Kinda wish I'd have done that, when I played through I kept trying to take pics of the tv with my phone and they were beyond crap. I should hit yt for some playthroughs, see what I can scrounge there. definitely want to make some icons!

And if you haven't found it already, beccatoria is a treasure trove of ME meta/squee/vids.

Oh man Skyrim, I played that one for agesssssss. Though I have a weird love/hate relationship with Skyrim because I feel like there's some personality lacking in the story but the actual gameplay is so well done that it's addictive anyway.

Aww thank you. :D Yeah, I always play on the computer, I don't actually own any consoles aside from the wii. It usually means I am a couple years behind people since a lot of games take forever to be released on PC but I prefer it sooooo much. For modding and screencap reasons alone! haha. But I also prefer the keyboard/mouse combo over a controller. If you are looking for some caps this flickr account has soooo many it's ridiculous. I've been making my own caps too but for non-Shep characters these caps are a nice easy source.
