5. Favourite Character
I've already waxed on about how much I'm in love with femShep and she's totally my favorite. But in the interest of bringing some variety to this meme I'll talk about my second favorite character.
Garrus Vakarian
LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW GREAT GARRUS IS
- He's hilarious. "You know me, always like to savor that last shot before popping the heatsink. *pause* Wait... that metaphor just went somewhere horrible." I have a propensity to taking him on missions with me just so I can hear whatever sarcastic wit he has to offer.
- He's Shepard's best friend ever, let's be real here. In my mind, they're two peas in a pod. Shooting things! Violence! ~*~GUNS~*~. Aggressively hero-ing their way across the galaxy! Ahhhh. Even when I'm playing as a fairly straightforward paragon, I sometimes take the renegade dialog option with Garrus, because he generally is cool with it. Like, Shepard's all thinking she should just blow someone's head off or something just to solve a problem, you know, whatever sort of stuff most people's filters don't let come out of their mouth. I say it to Garrus because he's always so understanding and usually agrees, lol.
- Garrus/guns otp
- He has one of my favorite backstories of all the characters (BITTER EX-COP WHO THINKS RULES HOLD HIM BACK BUT WITH A STRONG SENSE OF JUSTICE YEAHHHH) and also his character arc across the games is just <3. He's one of the most developed characters, with his sense of black-white justice morphing and changing throughout the games. He was also one of the few there every step of the way with Shepard. I love all the characters of the game but Garrus is one of the ones I felt like I truly knew.
