Quantum Leap, I love you, but what the fuck are we doing here?
Of course Addison/Tom fell apart because it was an obvious fake relationship meant to add drama or whatever to Addison/Ben. The second he was brought on board I knew he'd be out of there eventually so Addison and Ben could come back together, the entire relationship drama between them fell so flat because I knew the outcome from the getgo.
Ben/Hannah started off so strong and had kind of a disappointing end. I enjoyed the quantum-crossed love story but it just fizzled when it turned out to mostly be there to generate the Bad Guy Trauma.
Ben and Addison leaping together????????? No... no. Nonono. I really hope it's undone quickly somehow because I think it might actually kill my interest in the show. I already hate Addison (she's so unlikeable??? I'm sorry, I just can't stand her) but whatever, I suffered through her being Ben's hologram and also his love interest but now if I have to see them kissing and doing leaps together I don't know that I will continue to watch because I hate the idea of it so much lmao. Plus it just kind of undoes the point of the show - a leaper stuck in time, adrift, a nomad, solving other people's problems and trying to get home to the people he misses. It takes away a lot of the angst if Ben does it all with his girlfriend.
Long story short, I'm just unhappy with the ending. :( I mean the episode itself was fine, and threads were wrapped up etc, but whyyyyy two leapers. ;_;
I did like the OG Quantum Leap stuff they slipped in, Al's family coming in clutch, and Ian talking about the "darkest timeline" because Ian would absolutely love Community.

Date: 2024-03-06 07:39 am (UTC)Addison is terrible, and i want to like her, and her hair is so lovely and iconable. But that problem is, as soon as you introduce the romanance it's always going to be angst and no one wants it!!!!!
I don't love leaping together. I hope they fix it, but who knows.
