Falling Skies first because YAY IT'S BACK FALLING SKIES IS BACK!
You know, Falling Skies might not be the ~*~best~*~ tv show ever but it's basically given me everything I like in a post-apocalyptic show and has been so much more satisfying in every way than Revolution, despite the lower production values and cast of unknowns (+Noah Wyle, lol).
ANYWAY, Falling Skies is back, and the season premiere was great. Action and excitement and the plot is moving in a great direction (I LOVE ALIEN INTRIGUE STORIES AND REBEL GROUPS AND EPIC INTERGALACTIC WARS WOW THIS IS A++++++++++).
I mean honestly? I have almost nothing to complain about here. The story was interesting and moved along, there was character development, it's a HUGE ensemble cast and everybody got their bits to do and it all felt pretty seamless, and jesus christ I love the setting. UGH hanging out in bombed out buildings and people having to do tasks related to their previous skills b/c this type of society requires everyone pitching in and the argument of is school even necessary in this shitty world where all of humanity is in a fight to the death and SOB.
I don't trust these new "friendly" aliens that are helping the humans. I am glad the human characters don't trust them either. EEE ALIEN POLITICSSSSSSSSsssss
HE DOES MAKE GOOD POINTS THO
Ben remains my favorite Mason boy, I like that he's still working as the spokesperson for the rebel aliens, and also I like his new ladyfriend (I missed her name). They had a discussion about comic books and superheroes??????? I'M IN LOVE????????????

Hal remains a little shit. Also he continues to have -4820 chemistry with Maggie. I just don't buy their relationship at all, lollll. I ship Maggie/Lourdes tbh.
I'm so glad Pope is still there. Ahahaha he's so delightful.
Tom is such a fucking dork president and I LOVE IT. Huge stacks of books in his office and the burned-out American flag and a bust of President Lincoln and he name-drops people like Jefferson and shit and it's <3. I also like Tom's new assistant lady.
And just the scenery too, I was worried now that they're in Charleston that the show would be prettied up or something, NOPE, everything's still a burnt out dirty old mess and it's wonderful.
WOW I could ramble about Falling Skies all day but I think I'm done for now. SO GOOD YAY SO GLAD IT'S BACK, IT'S EVEN BETTER THAN I HOPED!!!!!
THE KILLING!!!!
So glad this show is back! The season premiere was last week and there was a new episode tonight but it also was 1000% awesome right out of the gate. The case from the first two seasons is wrapped up and over but the thread of the little boy and his strange drawing that haunted Linden has come to the forefront. The case is a serial murder case and grisly as anything but it's got that same style and sophistication of the first two seasons and it's so gooood. I'm really interested in where the plot's going.
And of course, getting Linden and Holder back together ajkdlfjsdfd. They're not quite working together yet but I'm sure they'll end up there ahahaha. Lots of personal drama going on this season, and the cast of non-cops who are involved in the case are all really wonderful and realistic. And Holder has grown as a cop and is honing his instincts even tho he's got a douchebag new partner, and Linden's life had moved on but now she's back on the force and things are gonna be INTENSE this season.

This season's been kind of weird and dragging and.. not as good, sorry to say, but finally last night's episode was much better! Now that Carlos knows oh god YES, everything goes so much more smoothly now, I LOVE IT. And they can finally be frands again. <3
I loved Kiera and Krycek begrudgingly working together (and I'm sorry I know his name's not Krycek but I can never remember it AND HE'LL ALWAYS BE KRYCEK TO ME).
The trial of Alec's brother was interesting (wow those Canadian courts move fast??? lol. Or just tv justice), cept his dumb brother was let out so now we get to deal with that fun stuff, I'm guessing he'll join up with Liber8.
WHO THE FUCK IS ALEC'S LADYFRIEND? And who was the dude that broke into Alec's house?? WHAT"S GOING ON WHY DOES EVERYBODY KNOW ABOUT ALEC AND WHAT DO THEY WANTTTTTTTTTTttttttttttt.
I'm just glad to be invested in the plot again and hopefully the second half of this season will be tighter. It should go better now if last night's episode was any indication!! And Kiera's not such a hot mess anymore which is WONDERFUL. I didn't realize just how much she was annoying me until she was back to her usual self last night. YAY! <3 <3
