naushikaI gotta get better at posting more frequently so that when I DO post I don't post giant novels. lol.
The possibly-visiting-Australia talk has occurred again which makes me eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Our friend said she has been scoping out tickets for us. If we go, it would be for two weeks (later in the year, no solid dates yet but maybe September-ish). Which. I just. ajklfdfjkds. If I could visit Australia for two weeks.. that would be AMAZING!
It's still very very hypothetical-talk at this point buuuut my boyfriend has been scoping out the passport & visa info so we can save up to pay for it, so it's serious enough for that at least. We would be ferrying back our friend's three cats which have been fostered here in the valley. (Ours, Coco (yes unfortunately we can not keep him.. we asked, but she really wants him back. I don't blame her. Coco is so sweet and so pretty. Also a lil shit. But I love him), and two others being fostered by some other folks.) Originally they had talked about them coming here to pick up the cats but in the end I think they just can't be bothered to come to America, haha. Whatever. If they want to pay for round trip tickets to Australia for us, I will not argue.

I keep meaning to mention this but I keep forgetting, but I'm kind of trying to not use livejournal anymore. I turned off crossposting for a while but I know some people aren't willing to make the move to dreamwidth so, I will continue crossposting to LJ from my dreamwidth. But I've turned off commenting on my LJ because I just can't handle the diversion of focus between conversations on two different sites. Maybe that sounds lame but I was getting overwhelmed by having to keep track of comments at two places and I just stopped reading/replying to comments, which.. dumb? lol. I want to try to have conversations with people and I'm already bad enough at it without having to do it in two places. So for my sanity I had to pick one or the other (also for my WALLET because I had subs to both sites and it was adding up), and I picked dreamwidth (for several reasons, some of which are not as much downtime, wayyy more interaction with the powers that be as well as them actually listening and responding to feedback, and also LJ seems to be growing quieter and quieter and dreamwidth is blossoming so I want to get on that and support the little guy). Unless a post at DW is locked, then you can always comment there anyway without having an account. If you want to unfriend my livejournal that's ok. I'll understand. My dreamwidth is at the same name, naushika, if you want to follow me there.
In other news, listen to this amazing band I discovered this morning and have been listening to ever since:

I just don't want to lose any of that stuff, and I can't afford any of it here. Plus there are some comms I use that haven't moved.
