the force awakens

naushikaI finally saw The Force Awakens!
Oh, I adored it. I really did. I mean, the plot was basically A New Hope rehashed, but with different characters (ie, I did not find Rey, Finn, and Poe to be Leia, Luke, and Han clones at all, which was my biggest worry tbh).
I feel like TFA was very much a respectful addition to the universe and done by someone who clearly knows and loves Star Wars. (Which makes me sadder how obvious it was that JJ Abrams didn't know or care about Star Trek at all, since the Trek reboot movies were not anything on the caliber that TFA was.) I'm assuming there's gonna be two more films and if so I am looking forward to them.
I really, really, reaLLY, REALLY love Finn and Rey. A++++. Great characters, great lines, adorable pinchable faces. Yes good.
Kylo Ren is a little punk omg. But that's such a Skywalker family trait tho. Even Luke - oh I tried to train more Jedi and Kylo went dark so now I'm gonna run away to some tall mountain on a planet in the middle of nowhere. Booo hoooo. lol. Leia's the only one who didn't get the punkass gene :P
I was spoiled for the big stuff long ago so Han's death wasn't a surprise, nor Luke's appearance. Overall I really had no complaints plot wise. I think everything worked.
Overall a really fun movie and I'm glad I finally got to see it. :D
